I discovered Ranjani through a recommendation by my doctor. I originally went to Ranjani for problems with anxiety. She was without a doubt the perfect person to help me with my situation. I found Ranjani to be caring, understanding, professional, warm, and loving. Ranjani has not only helped me with my anxiety, but has also taught me many valuable life lessons. Irrespective of what the problem may be, Ranjani will always have the right answer and advice to help you through the most trying situations. I have gained a lot from Ranjani both in the meditation workshop and with her counselling.  I have attended other meditation groups in the past but have previously not been able to meditate successfully.  This workshop was different as the group started from scratch and everything was very clearly explained as the process unfolded.  Learning four different meditation techniques allowed the individuals in the group to choose the technique or techniques that most suited them.  This is important as we are all individuals and not everything suits everyone.

Counselling was different as a one on one situation creates different dynamics to a group situation.  Here I found Ranjani to be very compassionate and understanding while still being firm when required.  Her intuitive and insightful handling of difficult situations was quite amazing during what I found a very tough journey of my own creation.  In this environment she has many very useful techniques at her disposal and she uses them to benefit her patients.  Some of these techniques were well outside my comfort zone but with persistence they have made a huge difference.

It was many years ago now I met Ranjani as a physician. It didn’t take long to make the discovery that she was interested in my whole health and not just the symptoms that brought me to the clinic. She spoke to me also of the benefits of meditation and her own studies of alternative health methodologies. It was a huge and yet natural step for her to bring both learning streams together to help people like me to get to the real crux of my health issues.

In my life I have often been unable to calm the bouncing thoughts in my head, to find the spaces in between and stop there peacefully for awhile. Ranjani showed me a variety of ways to assist in finding that quiet time. It was an oasis that I now know how to find more easily and seek regularly.
In the last several years major difficult issues in my life were made easier through a more objective perspective I achieved during meditation. I found that most of my life is spent in the mind and that I had become oblivious to my body. Now I am much more aware of it and much more connected. My behaviour has changed in a healthier way and I can see and feel the difference it has made.

Although finding the ‘rest’ I get in meditation it is still a work in progress I have no doubt about it. Any or everyone can benefit in learning the techniques that Ranjani can teach. My journey has also been greatly aided by Ranjani’s counselling. She listens, she guides and when necessary she challenges you to believe in yourself. I treasure the time I’ve spent in her company, even more now than when I saw her as my local GP. She’s helped me to dress the wounds of my soul.

After spending nine years completing two degrees (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Work), I came to the realisation that I hadn’t spent much time focusing on my personal wants and needs. There were too many topics to learn and too many deadlines to reach. I knew what I wanted to do in relation to the work force but I was unsure as to how to achieve the goal. This sense of uncertainty left me feeling anxious and worried about the future.

A friend of my mothers recommended that I see Ranjani to seek some help for my new journey. Ranjani and I met once a fortnight for three months and discussed a number of issue. But one thing that really helped me was that she reassured me that it’s ok not to feel guilty about not working or having something constructive to do. Ranjani emphasized that it was ok to spend some time enjoying the simple things, such as reading a book or watching a movie during the day. She encouraged me to take steps in gaining employment, but to not get caught up in a negative cycle.

By following these insightful suggestions, I was able to enjoy my own company, the company of my friends and eventually found work at a place that suited me.
